A Simple Wish

February 19, 2024 By patgeary

A Simple Wish by Blackbird Designs is included in the quilt book, Garden Club published in 2010.

I’ve wanted to stitch it for some time and a friend loaned me the chart. I chose a piece of 28ct white Lugana from my stash with mostly called for threads. I guess I did not realize how many eyelet stitches this particular design has and I’m really not enjoying stitching them.

I decided to add another row of alphabet letters instead of any personalization on this one. Most of my ancestor names are too long. Not sure how I will finish it as yet but happy it is now finished.

And here it is framed. I used a simple frame from Michael’s but painted it a brown.

Oh Pat!! It’s beautiful. I love those pinks!! And you’ll be so pleased with the stitch after “all those eyelets!!”

This is looking so good, Pat. It is probably too late to change out the eyelets, but yours are looking fabulous.
