Summer Quaker

September 21, 2024 By patgeary

Summer Quaker is another in the Quaker series by Primrose Cottage. I LOVE this series and have already stitched many of them.

Summer Quaker cover.

The recommended fabric is 28ct white lugana using Dinky Dyes Saffron silk floss. I chose to use a piece of 28ct white Jobelin I had in my stash. For floss, I am using Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe Flame Azalea and Mountain Delphinium. While I love the design, I had a hard time with it. I do not like Jobelin as much as lugana because for some reason, I find the holes harder to see.

Summer Quaker joins some of the other Quakers in the tiered tray.

I like your blue butterfly! Sheri of Colorado Crossstitcher loves this series too and has shown the many she’s done on her flosstube. She has colorized several of them. Yours is lovely.

Your Summer Quaker finish looks fabulous, Pat. I like the 2 colors you used for it. I prefer lugana over jobelan as well.
